Frequently asked questions
Does Flashbird work underground?
Flashbird uses the network that works best underground (4G LTE-M) which means it can still work where your phone can’t. But it’s not magic: from the -3rd floor and below, the network strength can weaken and in this case, Flashbird will warn you. As for the GPS, it doesn't work underground (no GPS in the world can do that!), so if the bike has been taken deliberately by a thief to a place where there’s no reception (such as a basement car park), you’ll have to retrace its last route to see where the "ride" stops, which is generally in front of the door of the car park in question. Flashbird is the GPS tracker that sends the most points per second for just this reason: it allows you to have a very precise last location to hopefully find a stolen motorbike!
Does Flashbird require a SIM card?
Flashbird comes with its own pre-loaded SIM card built into the device. So you don't have to insert a SIM card into it.
What is the accuracy of the data measured by Flashbird?
The Flashbird GPS tracker offers accuracy to one hundredth of a second and one-tenth of a kilometer.
Does Flashbird work on other types of vehicles?
Absolutely! Flashbird is a product that can be used on a car, van, motorhome, or even a quad.
Does Flashbird work abroad?

How to choose a GPS tracker?
GPS trackers (sometimes referred to as 'GPS tags' or 'trackers') are products designed for the real-time location and tracking of cars, karts, vans, motorhomes, buggies, or quads equipped with 12V batteries. Their accuracy is measured in "number of positions sent per second". As a result, Pegase and Flashbird are the most accurate on the market, sending up to 4 points per second. The autonomy of GPS trackers varies according to their internal battery and the use (or not) of the vehicle battery. Pegase and Flashbird are connected to a vehicle's battery, so they are being constantly recharged as soon as the engine is running, which gives them unlimited autonomy, as long as you drive at least twice a month. Size is also an important consideration when choosing a GPS tracker. Pegase and Flashbird are smaller than a credit card, making them "mini GPS" products that are easy to conceal.
